Sears Roebuck & Co.

Travelers had previously claimed of the mystical healing powers of the waters of the area, dubbing it "Ponce de Leon Springs" and bringing immense amounts of commerce to the area from near and far. The Sears Company begins to recognize this prospect and buys sixteen acres of land in Atlanta, connecting North Avenue, Ponce, and the South Railway in the East. In 1925, the Atlanta Sears Roebuck and Co. building was finished and began to be used as a retail store and distribution center for the company.
